DEAR is a time for students to free read silently. At Stone Bank, we practice DEAR each week during RtI Time or in class. We understand that the only way to get better at reading is to practice, and we want to encourage our students to practice reading regularly. In middle school, we have partnered with Picnic Basket to offer an incentive to students who dedicate some time each day to reading. More information about that incentive, and a sheet to document reading are available below.
